YOUNG mum Leah Willis braved flames to save the life of her little girl, who was trapped in their Hampshire home by a ring of fire.
The 20-year-old risked her own safety after finding daughter Charlye encircled by flames in the living room of their home.
After a failed attempt to put out the fire Leah knew she only had one option: to save three-year-old Charlye.
As the fire and smoke destroyed her home, the mum walked through the flames to rescue her.
"My daughter was trapped in the fire. She was surrounded by it.
"I just thought I had to get to her," said Leah, who was alerted to the blaze by a smoke alarm as she tended to baby son Matthew in another room.
Firefighters took more than an hour to tackle the blaze, which caused severe damage to the family home in Beech Crescent, Hythe.
