A MAN was attacked with a stun gun during a fight in a Southampton street.
The two men were involved in a row on Old Northam Road in St Mary’s at about 3.30pm Tuesday, when one used a hand-held stun gun on the other.
A white 46-year-old city man was shocked by the weapon, but was not seriously injured and refused medical treatment.
Police are now appealing for anyone who saw the fight to come forward as they hunt for the man who used the stun gun.
He is described as Asian, in his early twenties, about 5ft 6ins tall and of stocky build. He was wearing a blue top at the time.
Southampton Central-based PC Paul Salley, who is leading the inquiry, said: “This incident took place at a busy time of day, when there were many people in the area who could have witnessed it.
“The circumstances are unusual and would have stood out from normal day-to-day activity.”
Anyone with information about the incident or who saw it should call PC Salley at Southampton Central on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
