A MAN hunt has been launched today after robbers used a gun and a knife to threaten a terrified petrol station worker.
Two men wearing balaclavas burst in to a BP garage in Brockhurst Road, Gosport , before ordering a female member of staff to hand over cash.
The frightened woman was left needing treatment for injuries though no shots are believed to have been fired during the dramatic raid last night.
Detectives immediately launched air and land searches of the area and have started house-to-house enquiries in a bid to track down the robbers. A dog unit has also been called in as the hunt for crucial evidence continues.
It is not yet clear how much money was stolen during the raid, which happened at about 9.51pm on Thursday.
There were no customers in the garage at the time. Both suspects were wearing hooded tops.
Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
