A ROGUE driver has been disqualified and fined more than £4,000 for a string of motoring offences.

George Raimond Badoi, 24, was convicted of seven offences over three separate occasions, magistrates heard.

Badoi, in a four-month period, was stopped by the police on December 4 2016, March 18 and March 23, in Bursledon Road, Shirley Road, both in Southampton, and in Hook, near Basingstoke.

On all three times Badoi, of Northumberland Road, St Mary's, Southampton, was driving without insurance and not in accordance with a licence. On the last occasion he was also speeding, doing 114 mph on the M3.

He was in different cars on each occasion: an S-reg Vauxhall, a 52-reg Citroen C3 and a 03-reg VW Bora.

In total, fines, victim surcharge and costs Badoi was fined £4,325. All the offences were proved in his absence.

He was also banned for two years.
