A “DEEPLY embarrassed” drink driver was caught “swerving and swaying” across a busy Southampton road.
Marta Krawczyk drove her VW Passat along Hill Lane on January 6 while the proportion of alcohol in her breath was above the drink drive limit.
The 25-year-old was found to have 89mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath - which exceeded the 35mg limit.
Prosecutor Sital Mond told Southampton Magistrates’ Court that officers stopped Krawczyk as her car was “swerving and swaying” throughout the road at around 2.20am in the morning.
Krawczyk told the court: “The biggest punishment of this was being arrested and spending the night in custody.
"I am very sorry for what happened and it will never happen again.
"I am deeply embarrassed by this.”
Krawczyk, of Wilton Road, Southampton, was banned from driving for 20 months and fined £208.
She was ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.
