A MAN has been banned from the roads for more than three years after he was caught drink driving.
Adriano Andrade Pedra was caught drink driving in a Vauxhall Corsa on Gosport Road in Fareham on April 24.
The 41-year-old was found to have 127 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeding the legal limit of 35 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
Appearing at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court, he pleaded guilty to drink driving.
Pedra, of Elson Lane, Gosport, was disqualified from driving for 40 months and committed to prison for 12 weeks suspended for 12 months.
He was ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work with in the next 12 months.
He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £128 and court costs of £85.
