A NEW block of flats earmarked for Bitterne Park will no longer go ahead after they were refused by planning officials.
The new two storey block, which would have accommodated four one-bedroom flats, was set to built on land at 34 Bitterne Road West.
However, Southampton City Council said the build would be out of character for the area and offer poor living conditions to potential tennants.
