FOUR Marks man David Greatwood has been banned from driving for 28 months.
It follows his driving with excess alcohol on The Causeway, Petersfield, on April 15, a court heard.
Greatwood, 56, of Kingswood Rise, Four Marks, near Alresford, was stopped in a Y-reg Ford Focus with an alcohol reading of 119 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath, when the legal limit is 35, meaning he was more than three times the limit.
He pleaded guilty to the charge.
Magistrates in Basingstoke imposed a community order telling Greatwood to attend a drink-impaired drivers programme for 14 days with a rehabilitation activity requirement of up to five days. He was also told to pay an £85 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
The ban, mandatory for the offence, will be cut by 28 weeks if he passes an approved course by May 29 2018.
