SAINTS gave themselves hope of Premier League survival with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Bournemouth at St Mary's.
Goals by Dusan Tadic either side of half time sealed a much-needed victory for the home side, who still sit in the relegation zone.
Southampton still have games against Everton and Manchester City, as well as a huge away match against fellow strugglers Swansea.
