POLICE have been granted a 31-hour extension to question Southampton murder suspects.

Mark Noke died following an incident at a flat on Warburton Road in Thornhill.

Three men, aged 20, 23 and 31, were arrested at addresses in International Way and Bursledon Road in connection with his alleged murder.

At Southampton Magistrates’ Court, police were given a further 31-hours to keep the trio in custody.

This follows a 36-hour extension granted on Wednesday morning.

DI Howard Broadribb is the senior investigating officer in the case.

He said: “This is a sprawling investigation which continues at pace and our officers and staff continue to work through a large number of enquiries.

“Our witness appeal continues, so if you saw anything suspicious between 9pm on Friday, 24 February and 2am on Saturday, 25 February, or have any dash cam, CCTV, ring doorbell or mobile footage that could help us, please get in touch.”

Mr Noke, 64, died of a stab wound to his chest at his home in the early hours of Saturday, 25 February.

His family described him as a "kind and loving man" who "touched the lives of so many others".

They added: "He was a devoted, loving father who was committed to caring for his son.

“Mark’s passing has left a void that will be deeply felt, not just by his family but by all who knew him.

“Mark had a gift for making people feel seen and heard. He had a ready smile, a listening ear, and a compassionate heart that drew people to him."
