THIEVES went on a crime spree and targeted seven cars across the Eastleigh area

Police have received reports of multiple thefts in Hedge End and Botley.

In Hedge End there were four incidents in Ardingly Crescent, Fawn Crescent, Missenden Acres, Marlborough Gardens and Havendale.

While in Botley Downland Close and the High Street suffered two break-ins.

Money and a sat nav were stolen by several groups of youths.

The seven separate break-ins were reported over a two week period between June 14 and July 1.

A police spokesperson said: "Please can I take the opportunity to ask that you try not to leave valuables on display and to lock your vehicles when you are away from them at any time.

"If you need to report an incident or you have seen any suspicious activity in your area, please call us on 101 and report it.

"We are actively patrolling the area to try and deter these incidents and to identify the suspects involved.

Less than a month ago thieves went on a similar crime spree and targeted twelve cars across West End and Swaythling.

Break-ins were reported in Oak Vale, Upmill Close, Barbe Baker Ave, and Charmwen Crescent.

Four cars in Eden Road were broken into as well as another four in Ivy Lane in Swaythling.

An iPod touch, sunglasses, a work pass and car keys were stolen during the incidents.

A motorbike has also been stolen from Swaythling Road.

The incidents happened between 1am and 3.30am on Saturday, June 8.
