SAINTS STARS Adam Lallana and Frazer Richardson were the guests of honour at Sholing Technology College’s awards evening.
The players had a surprise in store after maths students at the school were challenged to work out Saints’ player of the season by using statistical and mathematical analysis. The pupils discovered that striker Rickie Lambert is Southampton’s top performer on the pitch.
Main sponsors of Southampton FC, aap3, sponsored the Year 10 maths award, which was won by Christopher Spanner, who won an iPad 2.
Other pupils who won awards were Rebecca Wright and Alexander Carr who won iPod shuffles, and Joshua Gibb was presented with a signed Saints ball for his entry.
