A TERRIFIED man fought off a knife-man who ambushed him in a Hampshire neighbourhood in the early hours.
The 47-year-old victim was set upon when his attacker approached from behind and demanded money as he was walking along a street at night in Andover.
Now detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.
The other man pulled out a knife and demanded money while he was walking along Icknield Way towards Smannell Road.
But the victim managed to fight him off and his attacker ran off towards Turin Court.
The victim received a cut to his finger which was treated at Andover War Memorial Hospital.
The knife-man is described as black, in his 20s or 30s, around 5ft 10ins tall of slim build with a goatee beard.
He wore a grey hoodie with the hood pulled tight over his head and face, and grey jogging bottoms.
Anyone who witnessed the attack between 4.10-4.30am on Friday, October 14, should contact detectives on 101, quoting 44160387963.
