FOUR Saints stars swapped club training ground for school playground last week.
Shane Long, Jérémy Pied, Jack Stephens and Stuart Taylor went back to school as part of a series of visits, organised by club-affiliated charity, the Saints Foundation.
The four footballing stars each took part in PE lessons and held a question and answer session with students.
French full-back Pied met with pupils at St Francis CofE Primary School, in Chandler’s Ford, while experienced shot-stopper Stuart Taylor visited Itchen Abbas Primary, near Winchester. Meanwhile, centre back Jack Stephens and Irish striker Shane Long both visited schools in Wiltshire.
The events were organised as part of the Saints Foundation’s Football and Sports Development programme, with players visiting schools which are recipients of its after school sports club and PE delivery courses.
Tom Grevatt, senior football and sports development project officer, said: “We are very fortunate to be able to extend these sort of opportunities to our partner schools, and they are always so well received from the children and staff.”
