A LEADING homecare provider has raised hundreds for a Southampton charity by taking on a 5k obstacle course.
Staff members at Bluebird Care backed Parkinson’s Southampton with £600 after completing “gung ho”, a course which included the biggest inflatable slide in Europe.
The group, which meets in St Mark’s Church, Archers Road on the second Tuesday of every month, provides many sessions for the community including physio led exercise, Thai chi classes and meetings for partners of carers of those who have Parkinson’s.
The classes enable people with Parkinson’s and their carers to get out and about, help maintain independence, prevent or manage falls, provide pain relief, improve breathing and prevent circular problems.
