A MAJOR route into Southampton will be shut for two nights from tonight as work is carried out.
The southbound carriageway of the M271 will be closed from 9pm to 6am on Wednesday and Thursday.
The closure will run from Junction 3 of the M27 to the Redbridge Roundabout.
Highways England says the work will be to renew road markings along the busy motorway.
A diversion will be in place via the A3057 Romsey Road.
