THOUSANDS of runners crawled, climbed and swerved past obstacles and took on the world’s biggest bouncy inflatable run in Southampton.

The sun was shining on Southampton Common as thousands turned up to GungHo! on Saturday.

Almost 4,000 people signed up to take on the course’s ten tricky obstacles, which include Europe’s tallest inflatable slide and world’s biggest bouncy castle-style inflatable.

GungHo! is a mix of a 5k endurance race and Total Wipeout style obstacles.

Thousands bounced their way over walls, meandered through inflatable mazes, climbed up 10ft inflatable walls and zoomed down Europe’s tallest inflatable slide into a pool of wet foam.

Runners of all ages enjoyed the event and came together to help others overcome the 10 obstacles.

Many people took on the course for charity, and it is hoped the event will raise thousands of pounds for Children in Need, which is its charity partner.

The day didn’t go without incident as some people suffered injuries, but the majority came away with smiles on their faces.
