AFC TOTTON fans will have to wait until next season to see Nathaniel Sherborne back in action.
And the chances of fellow frontman Dave Allen returning any time soon are getting slimmer by the day.
Sherborne, who broke his leg in a pre-season friendly against Basingstoke, made good initial progress and manager Steve Riley had hoped he would get a few minutes under his belt towards the end of the Southern Premier campaign.
But the boss confessed: “Sherbs’s progress has petered out a bit and we’re probably looking towards next season now. He’s coming on steadily, but there was a lot of scar tissue there after the operation."
