Saints are waiting on the fitness of Luke Shaw ahead of this weekend’s game against Swansea.
The left back has missed training this week due to illness and will undergo a fitness check tomorrow morning to see whether he is likely to be to face Swansea at St Mary’s on Sunday.
If he doesn’t make then Mauricio Pochettino has Danny Fox on stand-by and could also consider switching Nathaniel Clyne from right back and drafting in Calum Chambers.
He said: “We have worked very well during the week.
“We had a little problem with Luke Shaw who was ill during the week.
“He has recovered now and we will see whether he is fit for the game.”
Pochettino added: “We are just thinking about the next game.
“We need to keep on winning to maintain the position we’ve got.
“There is a lot of the league left now so we just have to focus on the next match.”
