AFC Bursledon lifted the DR Ryder Trophy with a convincing 4-0 win over fellow Junior 1 side Glen.

Glen, who sit atop of the City of Southampton Sunday League Junior Division 1 table, were powerless to stop Bursledon as they strode into a two-goal first half lead with goals from Ricky Wilkinson and Darren Nutbeen.

And the Bursledon boys did not let up in the second half – Lewis Crook and man-of-the-match Sean Nutbeen netting to give their side their first piece of silverware of the season. With table-topping Glen in cup action and having already completed their league fixtures, Chartwell Green closed the gap at the top of the league to just two points with a 7-1 thrashing of FC Railway.

Tony Sullivan led the way with a hat-trick for the away side, with a brace from Richard Warner and goals from Bradley Copperthwaite and Craig King putting Chartwell Green in the driving seat for the Division 1 league title.

Elsewhere in Junior Division 1, bottom sides Sky Blues and AFC Riverside played out an entertaining 3-3 draw. Brad Snelling, Dan Scott and Mark Moorman scored for the Blues but Paul Allen (2) and Lee Portman cancelled them out for the away side, who are still without a win in the league this season.

In Division 3, Titans kept the pressure up on league leaders Landguard Rovers with a 4-2 win over AFC Bishopstoke. Titans went 4-0 up through Connor Price, Piriyaranjan Pusparas, and Sam and Jamie Keyte.

However, they let their foot off the gas in the second half as AFC Bishopstoke netted twice through Anthony Pendlebury and Andrzej Kolon. But Titans held off the fight back, reducing the gap to Landguard to five points with two games in hand.

Boyatt Wood Wanderers kept pace with Titans as they came from behind to beat AFC Velmore 5-2. Velmore held a one goal lead at half time with Ashley Hibberd and Darren Street scoring before the break.

But Boyatt Wood responded in style in the second half, as Sam Drummond, Gareth Smith, Jason Palmer as well as a brace from Dan Burgess gave the hosts a commanding victory.

Titans and Boyatt Wood are level on points and are still to face off in what could be a deciding encounter in the race for the Division 3 crown.

Meanwhile, in Division 4, Roll Call remain second after they dispatched Hedge End Rangers 2-0, Ronny Wood netted both. Eastpoint hammered Shelfside 6-1, in the only other game in Division 4.

After a goalless first half, Billy Kelly racked up a hat-trick to go along with a brace from Andy Catterson and a Darren Brown goal.

Casey Baker scored the consolation goal for lowly Shelfside.
