Saints have released midfielder Marcelo Sarmiento.
The 27-year-old was Rupert Lowe's last signing as Saints chairman when he joined towards the end of June on loan from Club Atletico Racing de Cordoba with a view to a possible permanent switch.
However, the player struggled to make the transition from South American football to the English game.
Saints have therefore cancelled his contract by mutual consent to allow him to return to South America and find regular football.
