Winchester City Penguin Georgina Dymond came away from the Rushmoor Royals Winter Open Meet with half a dozen medals.

The competition, held at Aldershot Garrison 50m swimming pool, was one of only a few long course meets that swimmers can take advantage of.

Dymond, 14, took three golds in the 13/14-year-old age group - 200m backstroke, 100m backstroke and 50m freestyle.

She also won silver in the 200m individual medley and bronze in the 50m butterfly and 100m butterfly.

Florine Forster, 13, won the 200m butterfly, Isobel Rafferty took silver in the 9/10 200m freestyle, and Emma Falconer, 10, also took silver in the 200m breaststroke.

Sophie Nash took silver in the 15/16 50m fly and a bronze in the 50m freestyle.

Jessica Pike, age 14, took bronze in the 50m freestyle and Helen Stride did likewise in the 11/12 years 50 backstroke.

Penguins' boys also came away with a clutch of medals.

Oliver Heath, 10, won gold in the 50m breaststroke, as did Tom Coward in the 11/12 age group.

Coward also took bronze in the 50m butterfly.

Ashley Pike, 15, picked up five medals - two silvers (100m freestyle and 200m freestyle) and three bronzes (50m freestyle, 50m backstroke and 50m butterfly).

Matthew Ryall, 11, was second in the 100m butterfly and third in the 100m backstroke.

Bronze were also won in the 200m individual medley events by Oliver Jeffcotte (11/12 group) and Thomas Mills (13/14 group).

Alex Goodman won bronze in the boys 15/16 years 200m freestyle event.

Sally Goodhand, Beth Harvey, Rebekah Heath, Hannah Amies, Georgina Elliot, Ellen Trayhurn, Sebastian Ward, Adam Crompton, Thomas Heath, James Fisher, Christian Hosking, and Greg Soper also did well.
