Trojans may have lost four frontline players and had several others sidelined by injury, but they still completed a Hampshire/Surrey Regional Division 1 double over Eastbourne.
They beat the East Sussex side 3-1 at Stoneham Lane to cement third place in the log.
Teenager Ben Frost gave Trojans the lead from the first short corner the side forced, but Eastbourne were level by half-time.
Two second-half strikes by Matt Watts gave Trojans the win points over Eastbourne, whom they beat on the opening day of the season.
A flowing move from centre field set up the 2-1 lead – Watts calmly beating the on-rushing keeper – but it became tense as the visitors threw everything forward in a bid to level again.
Trojans’ points clincher came in the last minute – Mark Seeley turning defence into attack with an inch-perfect pass to Ben Cole, who waited for support from Ian Bassett, who burst into the D to pick out Watts at the far post.
