Marek Saganowski feels he's due a goal if he gets the nod to face Barnsley tomorrow.

The Polish striker started his first game against Derby and also impressed as a substitute at West Brom last week.

That gives manager George Burley a tough choice to make of which of his four strikers to field at St Mary's.

Saganowski said: "I am happy I am here and my confidence has gone up.

"I am so happy because when I came here I got straight in the first team for a very difficult game against Derby and then I played against West Brom and that's helped.

"I didn't play in the first team in France so it makes it even better.

"I am a striker and I wanted to score a goal. I had one chance against West Brom.

"Of course I need maybe more time but I want to score goals.

"I came here having scored many goals when I played in Portugal and Poland and I want to do that here.

"I have never scored in the first game for any of my clubs.

"I need a little bit of time to learn this football because it's different from Portugal, Poland or France.

"It's so quick and so strong and I need a little bit more time to learn".
