Dell favourites Matt Le Tissier and Glenn Cockerill went head-to-head as Saints’ sponsors hosted a charity football match at St Mary’s.
Veho, the club’s main sponsors, welcomed a star-studded cast of former players and celebrities, with Le Tissier and Cockerill managing the respective teams.
The game was organised in partnership with the Ex-Saints Association, with proceeds going to the association’s charity.
The match, which featured X-Factor and Stereo Kicks star Tom Mann and band-mate James Graham, saw Saints legend Fran Benali take to the pitch alongside Le Tiss, while former players Jimmy Case and David Peach watched from the stands.
Veho’s CEO Steven Lewis, who netted a goal that Le Tissier would have been of proud of in the game, hailed the day as a success.
“What a totally amazing day today,” he wrote on Twitter. “Thanks for the amazing support and thanks to all those that made it possible. There are too many to list!”
