MASON Crane took three wickets against India but England are still without a win in the Under-19 Tri Series in Sri Lanka.
The Hampshire leg-spinner took 3-51 from nine overs in Colombo as India were bowled out for 261.
Crane took three wickets in eight balls during the last six overs of the first innings as India slipped from 233-4 to 248-8.
He had Mayank Dagar and Rahul Batham caught by Somerset’s George Bartlett before dismissing 16 year-old left-handerWashington Sundar, who was stumped for 14.
Captain Brad Taylor, the Hampshire off-spinner, finished with 0-50 from his ten overs but was out first ball as England were dismissed for 261.
Taylor and Crane have five wickets from the tournament so far.
But the 20-run defeat means the final will be contested by India and Sri Lanka, with England’s last game against the latter in Colombo on Friday.
