CENTRE-HALF Jack Vallis could be a familiar face lining up against Eastleigh at Weymouth tonight.
Trialist Vallis, who had a spell with the Spitfires as a youngster, made his first appearance for the Terras against Barnstaple Town on Friday and is likely to feature again in this evening’s friendly (7.45pm) at the Bob Lucas Stadium.
Vallis, a former England Schools international who includes Amesbury, Downton, Frome and Gillingham Town among his former clubs, made 17 appearances for Salisbury last season, helping them to the Sydenhams Premier Division title.
Jason Matthews, boss of Southern Premier outfit Weymouth and himself a former Eastleigh player, said of the Vanarama National League visitors: “They have just been to Scotland on a pre-season tour so I imagine they will be really fit and, for us, it’s a massive test.
“I want to get as many of the lads the same amount of minutes as we possibly can.”
