EASTLEIGH have parted company with winger Adam Dawson.
The Bury-born 24-year-old arrived at the Silverlake Stadium on a one-year contract in the summer having had spells with Kidderminster, Tranmere and Nuneaton during the 2015/16 campaign.
Having initially impressed when Ronnie Moore took the reins in August, he has fallen out of favour in recent weeks and is moving back up north for family reasons.
A club statement said: "Adam asked to be allowed to move back with his wife-to-be as they are expecting a baby next year.
“The club would like to thank Adam for his services and (wish him) the best of luck with the birth.”
Dawson tweeted: "I wish @EastleighFC and everyone at the club all the best for the rest of the season. And good luck in achieving promotion this year.
"I would also like to thank @stewartdonald3 for giving me an opportunity. He's a fantastic chairman and deserves every bit of success he gets."
