EASTLEIGH’S colossal centre-back pairing of Reda Johnson and Bondz N’Gala have been parted.
Spitfires fans will be delighted to hear that ex-Coventry City man Johnson has committed his long-term future to the National League club.
The Benin international has today signed a new contract that will keep him at the Silverlake Stadium for the next three seasons.
However, there will be some surprise at the news that fellow defensive titan N’Gala has left the Spitfires by mutual consent.
An EFC statement said: “We expect Bondz to sign for a club today and we wish him well in the next stage of his career.”
It is the second time in just over two months that N’Gala has parted company with current Eastleigh boss Martin Allen.
Allen was still in charge of Barnet when the Bees sold the 27-year-old to the Spitfires in November for a reported fee of £60,000, making him Eastleigh’s record signing.
