King Edward VI youngsters claimed a notable scalp by beating reigning England Schools champions Whitgift 2-0 on their way to earning a place in the Under-14 regional semi-final.
That takes place against Reeds (Cobham) at Wellington, Stoneham Lane, on Thursday afternoon,
They went on to win their three-match grou, without conceding a goal.
KES were also successful at Under-18 level, finishing runners-up in their England Hockey six-a-side tournament at St George’s and then progressing to the regional semi-finals of the Plate competition with a 5-1 third round win over Reeds.
