ESTABLISHED in 1971, Millbrook RFC play their home games at 5 Acres on Redbridge Lane.

The ‘Brooks, as they’re affectionately known, play in an instantly recognisable kit of emerald and scarlet hoops.

Hidden deep in the Daily Echo archives was a dusty file of old pictures of the club, some of which are shown on these pages.

A couple of images dating back to 1989 show a match against Romsey, a year in which Millbrook RFC came second in the Hampshire League Division 1.

Plenty of pictures were taken of the team in action through the early 1990s, including shots of Wayne Renwick, Jason Harris, Ian Ashman and Alun Day.

The team posed for a group shot in 1995 after moving into third in the division – that image can be seen here.
