SALISBURY and Bideford AFC will have questions to answer after their Evo-Stik South West clash was abandoned on 43 minutes at the Ray Mac with both sides down to ten men.
Salisbury were 3-0 up at the time thanks to goals from debut-making striker Owen Howe - signed from Tiverton Town, Stuart Green and Eddie Perrett, all inside the opening 26 minutes.
The Whites were then reduced to ten men when referee Daniel Lamport dismissed George Colson after an altercation with Bideford’s Billy Tucker.
Six minutes later Tucker too was given his marching orders for a second bookable offence and two of his teammates walked him off the pitch.
But the players only made it as far as the steps to the tunnel where a disturbance ensued.
A six-minute stoppage followed and, after consulting his assistants, the referee abandoned the match.
