ROCK-bottom Gosport perished 3-0 at Chesham United in Evo-Stik South Premier despite the hosts having goalkeeper Hared Al-Droubi sent off just before the hour.

Al-Droubi got his marching orders for fouling Toyosi Olusanya just outside the area with his side still leading by an eighth-minute Jefferson Louis goal.

Chesham's 44-year-old player-coach Scott McGleish took over between the sticks and was quickly tested by a Ben Wright free-kick which he tipped round the post.

Ironically, it was an error by Borough keeper Pat O'Flaherty that changed the game when he missed his kick attempting to clear James Harper's back pass and the ball rolled over the line.

Chesham added a third in stoppage time from the penalty spot.

With just four games to go Gosport still trail second-to-bottom Dunstable Town by two points with just one team to go down.

Fellow Hampshire club Basingstoke Town did them a favour yesterday, beating Dunstable 2-0 at the Camrose Ground courtesy of second-half goals from Dan Bayliss and Callum Bunting.
