EASTLEIGH scholar Tom Bearwish has a cupboard crammed with silverware.
The young striker was named second year player-of-the-season by the Spitfires’ Academy for 2017/18.
Bearwish spent much of last season accruing senior game time with Wessex Premier outfit Portland United and walked away with two more big prizes from the Dorset club’s annual presentation night.
A healthy tally of 11 goals from 22 appearances for Portland saw him crowned first-team players’ player and manager’s player-of-the-season.
Meanwhile, former Eastleigh defender Will Evans has teamed up with ex-Spitfires boss Martin Allen at relegated National League new boys Chesterfield.
Evans, 26, spent two years with Aldershot Town following his departure from Eastleigh and scored two goals in 34 National League games for the Shots last season as they reached the play-offs.
“He’s good in the air, quick and good on the ball,” said Allen
