SHOLING will be reacquainted with the FA Vase at their Universal Stadium home tomorrow (Monday, 7.45pm).
The 2014 Wembley winners will host the current holders Thatcham Town in a pre-season friendly.
And Thatcham, who proudly lifted the trophy courtesy of a 1-0 victory over Stockton Town in May, have kindly agreed to bring the silverware with them.
The Kingfishers’ Wembley triumph coincided with promotion to the Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South as Hellenic Premier champions – a fine achievement for manager Danny Robinson, who was previously at the helm of Alresford Town and Winchester City alongside Tim Cole.
Entry tomorrow evening is £5 adults, £4 over-60s, £3 12-16s and free for under-12s with an accompanying adult.
Sholing came out on top yesterday, beating reigning Sydenhams Wessex Premier champions Blackfield & Langley 3-2 on a sweltering afternoon at Gang Warily.
After falling behind to a Sam Woodward goal, the Boatmen levelled through Pete Castle before Jake Hoole fired them in front.
Dan Mason then made it 3-1 to Sholing with Blackfield hitting back with a Tom Sykes strike.
