EX-EASTLEIGH striker Craig McAllister won his first league game as Gosport Borough manager in a thriller at Privett Park.
Goals by Ryan Pennery, Patrick Suraci and sub Connor Hoare clinched a 3-2 triumph over Kings Langley in the Evo-Stik Premier South.
Another former Eastleigh man, goalkeeper Mark Childs, made some terrific saves when Langley were at their most threatening.
Newly-promoted Salisbury led 2-0 at Beaconsfield through Luke Hopper and Lewis Benson before being pegged back for a 2-2 draw.
Painfully for the Whites, one of their former loanees Charlie Losasso did the damage.
First he crossed for Jerome Ecclestone to make it 2-1 and then he struck from the penalty spot after Salisbury keeper Charlie Searle had been adjudged to have fouled Lewis Stead.
Wimborne Town lost 3-1 at Farnborough after leading through Toby Holmes at half-time, and Poole Town (Franklyn Clarke) were sunk 3-1 by Hartley Wintney at Tatnam.
Winchester City won their final pre-season friendly 2-1 at Kidlington with goals by Tyrell Mitford and Oli Bailey.
All eyes now turn to the Citizens' Evo-Stik Division One South opener at Mangotsfield on Saturday.
"We have been delighted with pre-season in terms of effort from the players, results and more importantly performances," said manager Craig Davis.
"But I said a couple of weeks back that all that counts for nothing when we line up against a Mangotsfield side who have also done well in pre- season.
"All that matters really is that we know we have prepared well, the squad is as together as it’s ever been and we will give it a good go this year week in, week out."
