Saints have been drawn away to Everton in the third round of the Carabao Cup.
It’s another all Premier League tie for Saints who secured their place in the last 32 with a 1-0 win over Brighton in midweek with Charlie Austin coming off the bench to score a late winner.
It will also be a long midweek trip to Goodison Park, a ground at which Saints have failed to win in their last 14 visits, most recently losing 2-1 on August 18.
The 16 third-round ties will take place in the week beginning September 24.
