THE Basingstoke Bison will be out to silence the Milton Keynes Thunder on Saturday (6.30pm) in their only game of the weekend.

The Herd will still be without netminder Dan Weller-Evans injured in last Saturday's narrow loss to Peterborough, so Alex Mettam will once again be goal for the clash.

Last weekend, the Thunder who are back stopped by former Buffalo goalie Jordan Lawday recorded their first win of the campaign with a 4-3 success at Invicta and Bison player/coach Ashley Tait is taking nothing for granted in the clash and said: "We will prepare as we do for all games, we do not disrespect anyone in this league. It important we start the game well and take control, otherwise we could make things very difficult for ourselves."

On Wednesday night, the Bison and Zizzi restaurant will once again be teaming up for the first of two charity evenings during the course of the ice hockey season that will deliver a boost to Ark Cancer Centre Charity’s £5million fundraising appeal.

Long-time Bison sponsors Zizzi are opening their doors to Bison fans at 7pm on Wednesday, October 24 and January 23 2019 for two special events which will see some of the Herd players become waiters for the evening.

As well being served by some of the Bison stars, the Zizzi dinner guests will be able to take part in a raffle where the prizes will include a signed Bison shirt, signed stick, Zizzi vouchers, and a Zizzi gift basket.

Fans can book tables on 01256 212835.
