JAKE Hesketh scored the first goal of his Burton Albion loan spell last tonight - against Pompey at Fratton Park.
The 22 year-old, who has been with the League One club since August, gave the visitors a 52nd-minute lead with a brilliant individual goal - after Pompey had led 1-0 at half-time.
Hesketh took the ball down on the right side of the penalty area, turned past his marker and went past two Pompey defenders before firing powerfully into the roof of the net from an acute angle in front of a crowd of 18,200.

Pompey led at the break through an Oli Hawkins’ header. But goals from Devante Cole and then Hesketh stunned the League One leaders.
Matt Clarke soon headed the equaliser in a dramatic period at the start of the second half, before an entertaining encounter finished 2-2.
Hesketh, who is from Locks Heath, had dragged an early 25-yarder wide and was denied by a brave, sliding block from Pompey captain Tom Naylor before his goal.
He was also denied the chance to score a 90th-minute winner by Naylor, who intercepted a cross with the Saints man unmarked at the far post.
Hesketh was making his fifth start in League One for Nigel Clough’s Burton – his first league appearances since his two Premier League outings for Saints in December 2014.
