AFC TOTTON were the latest victims as unstoppable Sholing racked up their 13th straight league and cup victory at the Universal Stadium last night.
Totton, who play a level above the Boatmen in the Evo-Stik One South, were undone by second-half Jake Hoole goal in a 1-0 Russell Cotes Cup second round defeat.
The key moment arrived on 72 minutes when Bradley Targett’s shot was blocked and fell to Hoole, ten yards out, to smash in his sixth goal of the season.
Totton had their chances but were unable to breach a solid Boatmen’s defence that chalked up their 15th clean sheet of the campaign.
This Saturday Dave Diaper’s Sydenhams Premier leaders are at home to Baffins Milton Rovers in the league (3pm).
