Mark Hughes confirmed Danny Ings is a ‘big doubt’ ahead of the Fulham game on Saturday.
The striker limped off the pitch during the 1-1 draw with Watford prior to the international break but hasn’t made a quick enough recovery.
Ings is Saints’ top scorer this season with four Premier League goals to his name since his loan move form Liverpool in the summer.
Hughes said: “Danny Ings is a big doubt.
“He hasn’t been with the group training.
“We hoped to get him out training today, but he wasn’t able to.
“Mohamed Eyyounoussi has a slight issue with his hamstring and Mario Lemina has an issue with his thigh but they should be fine.
“Danny will be the main doubt for us. He might be an option from the bench but that will be determined by what we see tomorrow.”
