CAMROSE AC were at Soke Road Lake last Sunday where Bob Rich continued his good form, winning with 25lb of carp caught on pole and maggot.

Darren (Dodgy) Brown utilised pole and caster for his 10lb 12oz of carp, Mike Gravening caught two carp on pole and bread, John Swindle made up the frame with 7lb 8oz. Sixteen fished but some did not weight in.

Last Sunday Kennet Osprey’s went to a rock hard Dandys Ford Lake, Steve Hunt fished pole, bread and corn for his 33lb 12oz of carp to top out, Steve Shepherd used pole and pellet for 28lb 6oz of carp, whilst Peter Wooldridge caught 25lb 4oz, (Camouflage) Jim Sims weighed in 16lb 1oz to complete the frame. Fifteen fished not all weighed.

Adventure AS fished their match on the club’s Willow Pool and Bartosz Recki did the business with 110lb of carp on the hybrid feeder, Graham Shadwell caught 89lb of carp on the method feeder, Simon (The God) Kiefer netted 56lb 10oz of mixed on pole and feeder. A disappointing ten fished a good venue and caught.

Camrose go to New Barlows this coming Sunday, Adventure are at Panshill Fishery near Oxford, Kennet Ospreys will be going to Greenridge Farm with Staceys Match Group not out until Saturday 8th December.

This year’s club Xmas matches see Adventure AS at Dandys Ford on Sunday, December 9, Kennet Ospreys are fishing the Middle Lake of Gold Valley on December 16 whilst Camrose AC are going to New Barlows on Sunday, December 23. Lets ho, ho, hope they all have festive fishing matches.

Us ageing piscators during this cold spell have had to dig out the thermals, obtain bigger flasks, use hot pads and moan more.
