Romsey darts ace Rich North staged a remarkable comeback to book a place in the second round of the PDC World Championship.
North fell 2-0 down to Robert Marijanovic and was staring elimination in the face when he held his nerve to win a third set deciding leg with his German opponent waiting to throw a double for the match.
It was far from plain sailing from then on with all of the first four sets going the full five leg distance.
But North’s tenacity and power scoring – he hit ten 180s in the match - drew him level at 2-2 and the momentum was behind him going into the decider, which he took 3-1.
The win sets up a second round clash with Steve West on Friday and guarantees North at least £15,000 in prize money.
