SAINTS are keen on signing Manchester City starlet Rabbi Matondo, according to reports in the Sun.

It’s claimed that Matondo has turned down a new deal at the Etihad Stadium, which has alerted German giants Bayern Munich.

The Bundesliga side are said to want to pay £10m for the 18-year-old’s services, but he is also admired by teams in the Premier League.

Saints are reported to be one of the clubs interested in signing the Welsh international.

Matondo is yet to play for City’s first team, but the striker has six goals and four assists on his record from the Premier League 2 campaign this season.

This form saw the striker get selected for the Welsh national team by manager Ryan Giggs.

Having graduated from the Cardiff City youth system, Matondo has been heralded as a rising star at the Etihad Stadium.

And at the end of the season last year, he finished first in a 20-metre sprint, which included teammates Sergio Aguero and Kyle Walker.
