Ryan Seager has joined Yeovil Town after being released by Saints and claims he ‘has a point to prove’.
The 22-year-old has joined his hometown club on an 18-month contract having spent time there on loan.
Seager told Yeovil’s official website: "When this came up I jumped at the chance to come back. I'm raring to go.
"I feel I have a point to prove to everyone so I'm really looking forward to it.
"I know most of the players, there are some new ones but I feel like I can settle straight in. Last time it took me a few weeks to settle in but now I feel everything has changed.
"The core of people here last year are still here so I'm looking forward to working with them again.
"I've had doubters over the last few years but I'm here to prove everyone wrong and show everyone I've still got it and I believe I have."
Seager graduated from the Saints academy and made only two appearances for the club, with his debut coming back in 2015 during the FA Cup fourth round match with Crystal Palace.
The time has come to leave Southampton FC after 15 years. I have made some great memories one's ill never forget. I'll always look back on my time at the club with pride of what I have achieved knowing that I gave it everything. I wish them all the best for the future.

He was sent out on loan in 2016 to Crewe, before having spells at MK Dons, Yeovil Town, and most recently, Telstar.
Seager returned to Saints at the beginning of January after his deal with Telstar came to an end and has now been released by the club so he can look for another side.
It was reported that the striker had a trial at League One outfit Bristol Rovers earlier this month and scored during the development game.
Yeovil boss Darren Way said: "The opportunity to bring a player born and bred in Yeovil to the club on a permanent basis, couldn't be missed.
"We know Ryan from his time with us last season but from seeing him in training we're dealing with a different mindset this time around.
"I'm excited to be working with Seags once again and look forward to seeing what lies ahead."
