Mario Lemina has had surgery to resolve his abdominal injury and is now recovering from the procedure.
The midfielder hasn’t played since the Manchester City match last month but after experiencing issues with his abdomen.
Lemina took to Instagram to update his followers about the success of his operation:
Speaking to the media yesterday, Ralph Hasenhuttl claimed the 25-year-old hadn’t been training with the team but made no mention of surgery.
Hasenhuttl said: “It doesn’t look so good with Mario Lemina.
“He is still not in the squad training because he has still problems with his stomach and it’s only about shooting.
“Everting else he can do, but if he shoots he has problems, so it doesn’t make any sense if he is not 100 per cent to train with the group.”
