Ex-Saint Nigel Pearson has been sacked by Belgian second-division side OH Leuven.
Leuven have won one, drawn one and lost six of their last eight league games.
Pearson was appointed Saints’ boss back in February 2008 and only spent three months at the club before he was replaced by Dutchman Jan Poortvliet in the summer.
In total, he took charge of 14 games for the St Mary’s side, winning three, drawing seven and losing four.
After being replaced by Poortvliet, Pearson had spells at Leicester and Hull before returning to the Foxes in 2011.
Leuven are, like Leicester, owned by the King Power International Group and appointed him in 2017.
The Belgian club said in a statement that the 55-year-old’s “extensive know-how and experience” had helped the club, but said they could not look past “the bad results that have put OHL in a difficult position”.
