Tottenham Hotspur will arrive at St Mary’s as Champions League quarter-finalists after completing a comfortable victory over Borussia Dortmund – as ex-Dusan Tadic produced a stunning display away to Real Madrid.
Harry Kane scored in a 1-0 win as Spurs beat Dortmund 4-0 on aggregate ahead of their Premier League clash against Saints on Saturday.
But the result of the night was Ajax’s 4-1 win in the Bernabeu, courtesy of a another brilliant Tadic goal and two assists from the former Saints star.
The night Dušan Tadić made the world sit up and take notice.

Ajax trailed 2-1 from the first leg.
But Tadic set up Hakim Ziyech to open the scoring after seven minutes and haul Ajax level at 2-2 in the tie.
And 10 minutes later David Neres rounded Thibaut Courtois to make it 2-0 after latching onto a Tadic through ball.
Tadic made it 3-0 with a fine strike when he cut inside on his left foot and rifled home.
It took a lengthy VAR review before the goal was allowed to stand after it was adjudged Noussair Mazraoui had kept the ball in play in the build-up.
Marco Asensio pulled one back for Real moments later but almost immediately the visitors restored their three-goal advantage.
Lasse Schone sent a superb free-kick into the net to make it 4-1 on the night and 5-3 on aggregate.
