Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl revealed that Mario Lemina won’t be fit to play against Wolves this weekend.

The midfielder has been out of action since the end of December with an abdominal injury which required surgery.

And other than Michael Obafemi, there weren’t any new injury concerns worrying the Saints manager.

Hasenhuttl revealed: “We have Ingsy back again and he can play on the weekend. He is allowed to play.

“Lemina is still injured and can’t train with the team.

“Jannik Vestergaard made a good step in the game against Liverpool and doesn’t have any problems so far and that’s important for him that he could stand this intensive game.

“The rest is the long-injured players like Obafemi not in the group and it’s not easy to find the 18.”

Obafemi suffered a season-ending hamstring injury during the 2-0 defeat to Arsenal back in February.

It was a hammer blow for the teenager, as his brief cameo at the Emirates Stadium was his first game back in two months after being sidelined since the victory over Huddersfield.

And although he won’t feature again until next season, Hasenhuttl said the 18-year-old’s recovery was going well.

He said: “In the right way I think.

“We don’t see him in the moment training in the group and we see him running and building up.

“There is still a way to go for him and this season not playing again so we have to be careful with him.”
