LEDLEY King has congratulated Shane Long on breaking his record for the fastest Premier League goal.
Long netted his third goal in four games after just 7.69 seconds, breaking King’s 19-year-old record in Saints’ 1-1 draw at Watford last night.
Former Spurs and England star King scored after 9.82 seconds in a 3-3 draw away to Bradford City in December 2000.
He tweeted: “Just wanted to congratulate @ShaneLong7 on breaking the fastest goal in premier league history record after 19 years that’s gonna take some beating well done.”
